A non-refundable deposit of $150 will hold your date until six months before your wedding date; then one-half deposit is due.
Base prices for just the cake, fillings, flavors and enhancements will range from $5.25 - $7.50 per serving. In the following section, "Cake Combos We Love!" we have listed the basic price, plus ideas and pricing for delicious enhancements to your wedding cake.

There are eight elements built into this cake. There are two cake flavors in each tier: rich, Dutch Cocoa Chocolate cake in between vanilla bean cake "bookends," and the reverse, chocolate cake as the bookends for the vanilla cake. Each cake layer is first brushed with Chambord & raspberry simple syrup. The layers are filled with two icings: Swiss Meringue vanilla buttercream and chocolate ganache buttercream, flavor enhanced with Kahlua or Godiva dark chocolate liqueur. Exterior of cake is iced in white chocolate buttercream. This is cake is gorgeous when cut and served. If pressed, Jen, a self-confessed "foodie," would have to declare this her favorite wedding cake! $7.25 |

Fondant
Covering the entire cake in white or ivory rolled fondant adds $1.25 to the cost per serving. Using dark or white chocolate fondant adds $1.50 to the cost per serving. Using other colors or multiple colors of fondant adds $1.75 to the cost per serving. Flavor enhancements to fondant adds up to $0.25 to the cost per serving.
Other cake design, decorating & customizations
Cake structure and exterior customization / decoration increases the cost of your wedding cake. Customizing your cake is done in conjunction with your complimentary design consultation with Chef Jen. Items listed below are examples of how you may customize your cake:

Other pricing information:
Written Contract
We offer a written contract that includes a 50% deposit on the edible portion of the order and terms for payment in full. Payment is by local check, money order or cashier's check. Payment by credit card is not available.
Multiple Cake Flavors, Different Tiers &Sheet Cakes
There is a $50 charge each time a new cake flavor/filling combo is added to the wedding cake. For example if you order a three tier cake and each tier is a different flavor, there is an additional charge of $150.
Sheet cakes can be prepared for use at the back of the house for weddings that exceed 85 guests; pricing for sheet cakes is one-half (1/2) the price of the cake and flavor enhancements chosen; sheet cakes will not incude fondant or matching exterior decoration.
Delivery, Set up & Presentation
Minimum charge is $75.00 (more if location is beyond a 12 mile radius of Interstate 5 and La Jolla Village Drive in San Diego), or if the on-site setup will likely exceed one hour.

Rental Information
Minimum rental fee for silver cake plateaus, cake stands or plates, wood, plastic or metal tiered units is $75.00, plus a fully refundable security deposit. Refundable deposits for small plastic & other structure parts is $50.00.

A note regarding ingredients: our confections may be enhanced with espresso (caffeine) or alcohol; clients must request omission if none is desired. This also applies to other ingredient sensitivities or preferences, including nuts and coconut.
We use as many organic ingredients as are practically available to us at any given time. If you require all organic, please let us know well in advance for procurement reasons; there will be a market price adjustment.
We reserve the right make a substitution of ingredients based on availability or temperature considerations. Do remember that your cake (fillings and exterior) are temperature sensitive and cannot be exposed to extreme conditions, even for short time periods. We highly recommend you arrange to have your cake displayed and served in an air-conditioned area at your venue. |

| The number of servings from the cake depends on its shape and the height of each tier. Our tiers are typically 4" high. Because we are confident our cakes taste fabulous, we strike a good balance between cake cutting guidelines that can range from "tiny" to "generous." Your guests are assured of a "dazzling" dessert experience that is neither too large, or too small, but just right! |
| How We Calculate Serving Size |
We calculate the number of servings that will result from the wedding cake tiers based on one piece of cake having dimensions about 4 ” x 2” x 1.375” (Volume=11). If you are comparison-shopping, you will find that many bakeries use the Wilton™ wedding cake cutting guide, which produces a piece sized: 4” x 2” x 1” (Volume = 8). The measurement method used by a bakery is important to keep in mind when trying to compare the quoted price per serving. Below we show the approximate number of cuts/servings produced using our formula. |
